Zola in England

In development in association with No Stone Theatre, Emma Blackman Productions and Brighton Frestival and supported by Arts Council England

Working with national treasure author Michael Rosen and leading playwright, academic and Zola expert Dan Rebellato I am developing and directing a new play inspired by Michael's book "The Disappearance of Émile Zola: Love, Literature and the Dreyfus Case"

"A middle-aged woman’s sudden flash of memory leads her to reconstruct the secrets of her father’s conscientious infidelity and then his part in one of the debates that tore nineteenth-century Europe apart."

Fusing innovative projections of Zola's original photography and vivid performance Zola in England will be developed through 2021 ans 20
